Recently re-opened after a nine month US$150 million refurbishment, the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong is at the peak of its distinguished forty year history.

Although the hotel remains classic in its style, its newly refurbished rooms now boast the very latest in modern technology. All rooms feature iPod docks, wireless internet, intelligent lighting systems and flatscreen televisions in both the bedroom and bathroom. Rooms even have IT butlers to assist technophobes.

With its wonderful location on Hong Kong Island, the hotel has 502 rooms and suites which cater to the every need of their discerning guests. The balconies of each room have now been enclosed in glass, ensuring that the excellent views of Victoria Harbour have been maintained whilst also providing more floor space.

A key feature of this newly renovated ‘grande dame’ is the three level spa. In addition to a stunning range of treatments including body therapies, massage and aqua therapies, Ayurvedic consultations are available along with doctors specialising in traditional Chinese medicine.

With eleven bars and restaurants to choose from, guests will surely find something to suit their tastes. From the hip M Bar, to the Michelin starred chef Pierre Gagnaire’s eponymous restaurant to the infamous Clipper Lounge, fondly nicknamed ‘Hong Kong’s living room’, there is certainly something for every occasion.

PRICES Prices start from £144 per person per night in a Superior room or £177 per person per night in a Harbour View room, based on two people sharing, including breakfast.
