Mombo Camp

The secret paradise of Mombo lies hidden from the world on an island deep within the Moremi Game Reserve. With an ever-changing landscape which varies with the ebb and flow of the Okavango Delta, Mombo Camp is built in and around the shade of ancient trees on the edge of a magnificent floodplain. The inspiration behind Mombo’s design is a combination of early African architecture and indigenous patterns - and whilst it undoubtedly offers the ultimate in tented luxury, Mombo also maintains a vital interaction with the natural world.

The camp has nine canvas tents, raised off the ground and linked to the main lodge by elevated walkways suspended in the trees - not only does this provide panoramic views across the floodplains, but it also ensures that you’ll feel very close to nature - whilst the game wander freely through the camp below! Spacious and exquisite with all your desired creature comforts, the tents even feature ensuite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers.

The captivating style of the thatch-and-wood lounge and dining areas blends seamlessly with the landscape. In the heat of the day, relax by the pool, or retreat to the hide and wait for the theatrical spectacular to unfold - then at night, enjoy dinner served in the boma or by lantern light on your private deck. Game drives at Mombo bring an opportunity to see lion, leopard, large herds of buffalo, cheetah, giraffe - and even white and black rhino.

Flying is an integral part of the Botswana safari experience and like all camps, Mombo is accessed via a light aircraft transfer and can easily be combined with any of the camps in the Okavango Delta and Linyanti Reserve.
