Ubud Hanging Gardens

The resort offers 38 stand-alone luxurious villas which hug the curves of the hillside – and each has its own private infinity pool with spectacular views of the mountains and the winding Ayung River. In true Balinese style, the villas are built high on wooden pillars, each with a thatched roof and dark wood floors which perfectly complement the sense of light created by the floor-to-ceiling windows and kingsize bed draped with mosquito net. The edge of each pool overlooks the jungle – the higher the room, the better the view. Bathrooms are also a highlight, with both indoor and outdoor showers – indoors, there is a huge sunken terrazzo bathtub.

The resort also boasts a breathtaking two tier infinity swimming pool whose freeform edges appear to flow over into the jungle. For pure relaxation, the Balinese-style Ayung Spa clings to the riverbank and features semi-open pavilions where guests can awaken their senses and listen to the sounds of nature whilst being pampered.

Dining is a culinary delight and both restaurants enjoy breathtaking views over the valley and gorges of the Ayung River. Romantic candle-lit dinners in the privacy of your villa can also be arranged.

A unique feature of Ubud Hanging Gardens is its funicular railway which enables guests to absorb the magnificent panorama whilst travelling between their villa, the Spa, the restaurants and the open-air Bar.
