Days 1 & 2 – Glasshouse Mountains On arrival in Brisbane, collect your rental car and make your way north to the Glasshouse Mountains, just a 45 minute drive away. Peaceful and serene, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind at the start of your Australian holiday. Your home is a stylish self-contained cottage at Glass on Glasshouse. Relax on your deck, enjoy the scenery, marvel at the wildlife and count the stars as you relax and rejuvenate. There are some wonderful bush walks and Australia Zoo is just a short drive away. Days 3 – 6 – Noosa From the mountains to the coast today – your next destination is Noosa, an easy 50 minute drive away. The jewel of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Noosa is renowned for its sun-drenched beach and stylish eateries and boutiques of Hastings Street - it is the perfect place to relax for a few days at the start of end of your Australian holiday. It is also a gateway to Fraser Island and day trips can be arranged, please contact us for details. Your accommodation in Noosa is the modern and comfortable Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa with a fabulous central location on Hastings Street. Days 7 - 10 - Palm Cove Drive to Brisbane (1.5 hours) and Drive to Brisbane (1.5 hours) and board your flight to Cairns. On arrival in Cairns, collect your hire car and make your way to Palm Cove, just a 20 minute drive away. With its palm-lined golden sand beach, Palm Cove is the perfect relaxing base from which to explore the surrounding area. Your accommodation is the delightful Sebel Reef House & Spa, which is just a stone’s throw from the beach and boasts a swimming pool, spa and fabulous restaurant. A ’must’ is a day trip out to the reef (please contact us for details). Days 11 – 13 – Daintree Rainforest A few days in the rainforest is a fantastic contrast with some time staying on Queensland’s coast. The drive to Silky Oaks Lodge is only a 1.5 hours drive away. Enjoy the fabulous coastal drive north to Port Douglas before you head inland. Silky Oaks Lodge is a haven or tranquility nestled in the rainforest. It is also home to the Healing Waters Spa so at the end of a day’s exploring, relax and be pampered! Day 14 Drive back to Cairns and board your flight home.
