A fabulous journey from Melbourne to Adelaide
Days 1 & 2 – Melbourne On arrival in Melbourne, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, the boutique and stylish Lyall Hotel & Spa in fashionable South Yarra. Explore Melbourne under your own steam, or if you prefer we can arrange a fantastic private guide to show you around. Days 3 & 4 – Apollo Bay The Great Ocean Road beckons! Collect your rental car this morning and begin this legendary coastal drive which winds along clifftops, up breathtaking headlands, through rainforests and to the edge of beaches – it’s not surprising this is widely considered one of the most spectacular drives in the world! Be sure to take your time and make lots of photo stops along the way! Your first destination is Apollo Bay where a self-contained villa is your stylish home away from home by the sea. Day 5 – Port Fairy Probably the most famous section of the Great Ocean Road today. As you leave Apollo Bay, you will travel though the untouched rainforest of the Great Otway National Park before hugging the coast again and reaching the Twelve Apostles. Your home for the night is the delightful Oscars Boutique Hotel. Days 6 & 7 – The Grampians Leave the coast and head inland to the Grampians. This beautiful National Park is a wonderful place for bush-walking – stunning scenery, majestic waterfalls and an abundance of wildlife await! At the end of a day exploring, relax and indulge at Meringa Springs. Day 8 – Adelaide Make your way to Adelaide today, about a 6 hour drive.
