Days 1 & 2 - Christchurch Arrive in Christchurch where you will enjoy a 2 night stay at the elegant George Hotel. Days 3 & 4 - Otago Peninsula Fly south to Dunedin, to collect a car and make your way to Kaimata on the beautiful Otago Peninsula – your base for the next 2 nights. A privately guided wildlife tour with Brian – our local specialist (page 47) is included. Days 5 & 6 - Winton Today, discover sweeping beaches, ancient forests and endless wildlife on the spectacular drive through the Catlins to The Lodge at Tikana, your luxurious refuge for the next 2 nights. As an alternative to self-driving, we can arrange a privately guided transfer with Brian. Tikana is located in rolling farming country – and delicious meals will be prepared especially for you. (B,D) Days 7 & 8 - Stewart Island Drop your hire car at Invercargill airport and board the short flight to Stewart Island. A guided walk to see the birdlife on neighbouring Ulva Island and a scenic cruise are included in your stay. Accommodation is provided at Greenvale, a comfortable two-bedroom Bed & Breakfast. (B) Day 9 - Doubtful Sound Return to Invercargill today to collect a hire car and make your way to Manapouri for an overnight cruise on spectacular Doubtful Sound. (B,D) Days 10 - 13 - Queenstown Disembark and enjoy the scenic drive to Queenstown for 4 nights at the stylish Sofitel – a fabulous end to your unique journey. Day 14 Drop off your car at Queenstown airport and board your flight via Auckland back to the UK.
