This stylish little gem brings affordable luxury to Fiji’s idyllic Yasawa Islands. The eleven beachfront bures blend traditional Fijian architecture with modern and contemporary design and are nestled on the pristine white sand beach, just steps from the crystal clear lagoon. The spacious bures are all free-standing with traditional thatched roofs, high vaulted ceilings and large balconies with wonderful ocean views. They are beautifully appointed with polished wooden floors, indoor/outdoor bathrooms, king-size beds and air-conditioning. Three of the bures have two bedrooms, perfect for friends travelling together or families with older children. The island is surrounded by a colourful coral reef which is a haven for snorkelling, diving, fishing and kayaking. Onshore, there are many activities on offer – from beach games including volleyball and boules to cultural activities such as weaving, coconut husking and visiting the nearby village. Of course you may simply wish to relax on the beach, by the swimming pool or with a soothing massage. Delicious meals are served in the restaurant overlooking the ocean or on the terrace under a starlit sky and focus on freshly caught seafood and fruit and vegetables from the resort’s organic garden. The island is accessible by helicopter or boat transfer from Nadi. We recommend the helicopter transfer where possible, which operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and takes 30 minutes. Alternatively, boat transfers take 2½ hours and depart once a day (departing Denarau marina at 8:30am and returning to Denarau marina at 5:45pm). Children under 12 years old are not catered for.
