Flights to Fiji operate 4 or 5 times a week (depending on time of year) via Los Angeles with a combination of Air New Zealand and Air Pacific. From December 2009, twice weekly flights will also operate via Hong Kong. Whichever route you fly, the journey time is approximately 24 hours in total (we promise it is well worth it!). Ask your consultant about stopping over in LA or Hong Kong or upgrading to Premium Economy or Business Class.

This idyllic 8-acre island paradise nestles in splendid isolation in Beqa (pronounced Bengga) Lagoon – a group of five unspoiled islands urrounded by a pristine barrier reef, immediately south of Viti Levu. Royal Davui Island is one of Fiji’s most exclusive island escapes – a truly romantic ‘get-away-from-it-all’ retreat where 16 privileged couples can indulge in desert island solitude – without any Robinson Crusoe hardships! Access from Nadi is via a 25 minute scenic flight followed by a 30 minute boat transfer.

Royal Davui is one of the smaller islands in Beqa Lagoon. It boasts several secluded white sand beaches fringed by a living coral reef. The underwater life is prolific – a kaleidoscope of exotic fish, rays and even the occasional turtle – this is a haven for divers and snorkellers.

Accommodation is provided in 16 luxurious villas, each with its own infinity edge plunge pool. Designed with complete privacy in mind – each villa has a kingsize bedroom, a bathroom with double shower and jacuzzi and two expansive sundecks with stunning uninterrupted views of the lagoon and surrounding reef. The three Island Vales are located on the southern side of Royal Davui and enjoy stunning views of the lagoon as well as close access to the southern beach. The Deluxe Vales line the east and south cliff-faces with views of Beqa Island or the surrounding reef whilst the prime position of the more spacious Premium Villas (which have kingsize jacuzzis) ensures you will never miss the island's magnificent sunsets. For the ultimate indulgence, the Royal Davui Suite has the most private location and best vantage point of all, with decks facing Beqa Island and the Pacific horizon beyond – and floor-to-ceiling glass doors on two sides which take full advantage of the fabulous views! Dining is an integral part of the Royal Davui experience, with meals served alfresco beneath the canopy of a majestic Banyan Tree. Only the freshest produce is used – and naturally, there is a strong emphasis on local seafood – and organic fruit and vegetables from neighbouring Beqa Island.

Lazy days on a secluded beach, picnics on a deserted sand bar, indulgent spa treatments in the privacy of your villa or an exhilarating sail on a catamaran – this romantic Fijian paradise has all the makings of your ‘castaway island dreams’ – yet, you can also go exploring. Enjoy a hike through lush forest, visit the local village or witness Fiji’s unique ‘Firewalking’ tradition on Beqa (centuries ago, as legend would have it, an ancient Fijian Spirit gave the local inhabitants the power to walk barefoot – unharmed – over hot white stones) – the legend lives on today.

Royal Davui’s close proximity to Viti Levu (it is only a 30 minute boat ride away) also makes it a great base for exploring Fiji’s largest island – exhilarating white-water rafting trips into Viti Levu's beautiful interior, or visits to the markets of Suva, provide an insight into a very different side of Fiji, all too often missed by the passing traveller.
