Tucked away in Fiji's idyllic Mamanuca Islands, on a white sand beach fringed with a crystal clear turquoise lagoon, this heavenly retreat is home to Fiji's first Overwater Bures. This wonderful gem effortlessly blends stylish design with local Fijian architecture. The ten beautiful thatched roofed Overwater Bures are elegant and stylish in their design, featuring rich fabrics, local artwork, glass panels in the floor to view the underwater world below and spacious decks with steps leading directly into the crystal lagoon. Equally as stylish as their overwater counterparts, the other 36 bures nestle along the beachfront and in the gardens – these boast wonderful lagoon views, outdoor showers and decks complete with relaxing day beds. The Deluxe Beachfront Bures have the added advantage of a plunge pool on the deck as well as the day bed! Whether you laze in the spectacular horizon-edge swimming pool taking in the views of the distant islands, indulge in soothing treatments in the Tatadra Spa (which aptly means ‘House of Dreams’) or simply revel in the luxuriousness of your bure and the beauty of the setting, relaxation comes all too easily at Likuliku. Should you insist on being active, catamarans, kayaks, windsurfers and snorkelling gear are provided for guests' use and scuba-diving can easily be arranged. It is well worth making time to visit the local village and there are bush walks and nature trails on the island which will reward you with spectacular views. Gourmet meals, which are included in your stay, are a highlight of any stay at Likuliku. The menu changes daily in a mini dégustation style for lunch and dinner, with a focus on exquisite Pacific Rim flavours. The Dua Tale bar (which means ‘one more’ in Fijian) is the perfect place to enjoy a pre or post dinner drink and the Masima Bar (which is located on its own island accessible via a walkway from the resort) is a great spot for a sunset drink whilst taking in the stunning lagoon views. Likuliku is just a 10 minute seaplane or helicopter flight or a 1 hour boat transfer from Nadi (on Fiji's main island). Children under 17 years old are not catered for.
