Tucked away on the island of Yaqeta in the volcanic Yasawa archipelago, Navutu Stars is one of Fiji's newest and smallest hideaways. This intimate and stylish 9 bure retreat, which opened its doors in December 2005, is the vision of Italian owners Maddalena and Manfredi, who came to Fiji in search of a barefoot island paradise. Each of the 9 thatched bures is nestled along a mile of powder soft white sand, amidst lush tropical vegetation and swaying palms. The bures are open-plan and spacious - and the interiors boast a delightful fusion of Asia and Mediterranean influences with a stylish Fijian twist. Brightly coloured art and fabrics from South East Asia contrast with the cool white walls and floors - whilst the outdoor day beds and hammocks are just perfect for enjoying lazy days in the sun! All bures enjoy an absolute beachfront setting with irresistible views of the sparkling lagoon. For that extra indulgence, we recommend one of two Grand Bures, which feature an oversized sunken bath in the living area! The emphasis at Navutu Stars is on pure romance and relaxation - but if you insist on being active, a variety of non-motorised watersports (including snorkelling and diving) are available, as well as fishing, hiking and cultural visits to local villages. Spa treatments using local clays, seaweed and oils are also available. Wake-up each morning to a delicious breakfast delivered to your private verandah - whilst for lunch and dinner, you can choose from the a la carte menu. Freshly caught seafood is a favourite! Access to Navutu Stars is either by private seaplane or helicopter charter.
