This is the only Cambodian property from this renowned group, whose hotels in Vietnam are popular with guests from around the world. The Victoria Angkor opened around three years ago and although newly built, the style is very much in keeping with the architecture of the colonial era. The elegant and grand exterior of the hotel is reminiscent of 1930’s French Indochina and the wooden floors and cream furnishings of the interior complete the look. The hotel even has two vintage Citroën cars available for Angkor touring or airport transfers, to complement the period feel. The Khmer setting has not been forgotten however, with tasteful use of Khmer fabrics and decorative artefacts used in the 120 rooms. The ten suites are also particularly stylish in their use of colour and textiles. In addition, there is a special Jardin de l’Apsara where displays of the famous Khmer Apsara dancing are held. There are three performances a week at Le Jardin during high season and these also include Khmer handicraft displays and Cambodian music. Guests can sample cuisine from nearby Asian style food stalls. The hotel also boasts a fine restaurant, a bar and a chic modern French bistro. For relaxation, there is a Lotus Blanc Spa and a beauty salon, as well as a large swimming pool, Jacuzzi pool, sauna and library.
