You will be pleased to hear that after 9 hours of negotiations the planned BAA strikes have been called off after talks with the unions yesterday.
A settlement has been agreed between BAA and the unions. The details are expected to be announced this afternoon but Union leaders accepted an improved pay offer.
A BAA spokesman said the offer was fair to staff but also acceptable for the company considering the economical situation the airlines are currently in.
Members will have to vote in order to accept BAA’s new offer.
