Prices

Prices for 4 nights from £415 per person in a Hillside Villa or £465 per person in an Ayung Villa, based on two people sharing, including bonus nights, breakfast and private airport transfers.

Although no one offers direct flights to Bali there are several options with the likes of Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines or Cathay Pacific via Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong respectively. Fares start from £330 plus £250 taxes and surcharges. Stopovers are allowed FOC at one of the above cities.

A much anticipated addition to the stylish accommodation scene in Bali’s artistic and cultural capital, this all-villa retreat (newly opened in early 2010) provides the perfect complement to a beachside stay in its sister property, the award-winning Samaya in Seminyak. Spectacularly located amidst the rice fields and verdant hillsides of Ubud’s beautiful Ayung Valley, the resort offers 19 spacious villas, each with its own private pool – and all discreetly nestled into the hillside, so as to make the most of their stunning setting. All villas boast a kingsize bed and generously appointed bathroom, with separate shower and bath. Modern amenities include LCD televisions, iPod docking stations and Wi-Fi internet connections.

As with its chic counterpart in Seminyak, the contemporary villa interiors provide a heightened sense of luxury and spacious living, without compromising on privacy – each has a private enclosed garden with a traditional poolside gazebo. Some villas enjoy river views, others garden views.

Taking full advantage of the expansive panorama, the restaurant and lobby have been carefully positioned at the top of the valley, whilst those seeking pure relaxation and rejuvenation will be drawn to the state-of-the-art Spa and gymnasium located at the bottom of the valley overlooking Bali’s famous Ayung River. There is also a second restaurant beside the river.

The resort’s inspiring location (in a local village just outside Ubud) means that there are no restaurants or shops within walking distance. However, regular shuttle buses into the centre of Ubud are provided.
