Located on Mangsit Beach just 10 minutes from Sengiggi Beach on the island of Lombok, Qunci Villas is made up of three parts: the original Qunci Hotel, the newer Pool Villas Hotel (made up of Ocean View Rooms, Partial Ocean View Rooms and One Bedroom Pool Villas) and the Luxury Villas (made up of Two and Three Bedroom Villas set back on the hillside). Turquoise recommends the spacious and private One Bedroom Pool Villas located in beautifully landscaped gardens, peppered with swaying palms and lush tropical plants.
This boutique resort features rooms that are contemporary and minimalistic, taking influences from Bali and Japan featuring cool and refreshing natural polished timbers, warm and inviting textiles, comfortable furnishings, and a touch of local art, all of which provides guests with a restful and relaxing environment. Most of the rooms open out into their own private garden bathroom with showers that re-create the feel of a warm tropical rainfall.
Guests in either part of Qunci Villas can use all the facilities, which include two infinity-edge pools on its properties - both located directly on the beachfront in front of the Lombok Sea with neighbouring Bali’s Mt. Gunung Agung as the idyllic backdrop, two open-air beachfront restaurants (Quah serving a more western-orientated menu and Quali offering Asian cuisine), a pool bar with 'happy hour' and Qunci's Qamboja Spa - offering a variety of Spa treatments all blended from traditional recipes incorporating plant essences, aromas of healing flowers, elements form the ocean and Indonesian herbs and spices into modern day beauty rituals.
Although the resort does not have the facilities or details of a luxury hotel, the warm welcome is genuine and the accommodation is undoubtedly excellent value in an attractive setting.
